When severe weather, most often ice storms or heavy rains [flooding], affects our area, DLC Management will make a decision about the opening/closing of the center, and as soon as possible, will inform all patrons, telephonically, of the cancellation, no later than 7:00 AM.  Additionally, notice of closure will be broadcast over the following local stations:

Please be aware that as a private educational facility, we may not adhere to the same rules for closure as the public school system. DLC may choose to operate in certain instances when public schools choose not to.  Be assured that safety is paramount to DLC and at no time will safety be compromised, or children and staff be placed at risk.

In the event that DLC chooses to operate, and your situation does not allow for safe travel to the center, please feel free to keep your child at home.  If the weather worsens during the day, and students are not dismissed early, parents are afforded the opportunity to pick up their children at their discretion.   In the event of an ice storm (freezing rain or sleet), parents can assume we will close the facility, as quickly as, all children can be safely picked up.  We do not offer childcare on days the facility is closed due to extreme/inclement weather.
