Career & Personality Assessment
DLC offers several different career
and personality assessments to assist individuals in examining,
understanding and articulating their interests, personality, values, and
skills. While these assessments will not tell a student what major or career
is best, the results can guide toward careers he/she may
wish to further explore. At the first one-on-one appointment, a career
advisor will spend some time getting to know the student/individual, his/her
situation, needs and expectations. This process helps the
advisor identify the best assessment for the student/individual. Each
assessment takes approximately 45 - 60 minutes to complete. In a follow-up
appointment the student/individual is provided the interpretation of the
assessment, and will work in concert with the advisor to consider the next
step.
